I finally have to admit that I'm baking a lot these days and my oven is being used way too much. Last year when I had purchased it, it was used only for heating purposes as opposed to its use now a days. Though I love baking and having the yummy results, I restrict myself to a piece or two, rest is given to the kids in the apartment. Today I'm sharing one such yummy bakes that I had made few weeks back. Addition of walnuts will give extra crunchiness to this cake. Scroll for the recipe......
Friends, I don't know how I missed posting this very special recipe of mine and was lying uncared in the drafts folder. I had made this dish during one fine day of Eid-ul-Adha, when a sudden guest has appeared at home along with Mutton Biryani, Chapli Kababs, Salad and Raita. Among all the dishes, this was the easiest one to prepare and was done first. So while the biryani was on simmer I got ample time to photograph it and I'm presenting it here for you all. On a side note, we have stopped consuming mutton for the past one year, so all my mutton recipes that has come up or will come in future are the dishes already prepared and savoured during Eid days, with few exceptions here and there.... :)
Ok friends, the country has got one more state to govern in its territory today and history is created by the formation of Telangana. I don't know if it has happened for a good cause or bad or how people are going to get affected by this, since I did not follow the news in detail. I was just thinking that when I was in school, we learned of only 25 states and then came a time after our good old school days where many new states were formed and India got 28 states and finally crossed that statistics too. I feel that many more states will come in future looking into the current scenarios and happenings in India......
News apart, today I have bought Banana Bread that I had baked a few days back for breakfast, have a look and enjoy......

Ufff, I'm writing a post on a Saturday morning, its looking so weird leaving all my work aside and sitting with my laptop doing this post. Saturdays are usually very hectic for me as I have to make heavy breakfast and then biryani for lunch and some gravy and roti for Amaan. The picture you see on the right is the card gifted by him to us which he made in school, he has done only the coloring part, hehehehe
Coming to today's recipe, its an extremely easy one with just a combination of coffee, chocolate and milk as per your taste. Yes, its the very famous Mocha Coffee which you can make and enjoy at the comfort of your home.
I'm a big lover of pastas and usually prepare Tomato Pasta, but this time I tried my hands in making it with white sauce. I have used Penne Pasta for this, but you can you use any type of pasta. Its very easy to make and something different, but it did not satisfy my taste buds too well. But then everybody has got different tastes to their likings, otherwise millions and millions of food preparation would not have been in existence in this world, hehehe. Off to the recipe....
Chocolate Pudding Cake..... when I discovered this recipe and while making it, I never realized that it is going to be so magical after putting in the oven. It is prepared by layering the cake batter in the pan, then sprinkling the cocoa sugar mixture over it and finally pouring the hot coffee. It looks really strange but after baking you will see that a miracle has happened. The cake batter will rise to the top all puffed and cracked with the sugar cocoa mixture forming a nice crispy crust and the coffee mixture will thicken and sink to the bottom forming the pudding sauce. It was really yummy and I couldn't even believe myself that I have created this and my hubby's response was just WOW, now nothing wrong with your oven, you mastered the skill... hehehe
This recipe is in continuation of the Masaledar Fish Curry and Spicy Mutton Gravy with the chicken this time. Since the garam masala used is in ground form, it results in a very spicier version as compared to the normal non-veg gravies. And that's the reason I don't prepare it very often even though it tastes grand. Also, I was not able to click a proper picture as everybody was in a hurry to eat and there was just no time. Read below for the recipe.....
