Qeema Matar Pulao | Minced Meat and Peas Pulao | Pulao Recipes
10:57 AMQeema Matar Pulao or Mince Peas Pulao is a very aromatic and nice flavorful dish which can be had as it is without any gravies. It can also be prepared with leftover qeema, in that case just omit all the steps in making the qeema mentioned below and just add rice, water and salt to the cooked qeema. This is one recipe which can be made and had on a plain lazy day.
Qeema Matar Pulao
Ingredients you require:
Qeema / Minced mutton - 200 gms
Basmati rice - 1 cup, washed and soaked for 30 minutes
Cloves - 2
Cinnamom - 1 inch
Green cardamom - 2
Peppercorns - 1-2
Bay leaf - 1
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 medium, finely sliced
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 2, chopped
Tomatoes - 1, chopped
Coriander - a bunch, chopped
Salt - to taste
Oil
How to make Qeema Matar Pulao:
In a pot heat oil and add in the cloves, cinnamon, green cardamom, peppercorns, bay leaf and cumin seeds. Saute for 30 seconds
Add onions and saute till it becomes soft
Add minced meat or qeema and cook on high flame till it changes colour
Add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell disappears
Add tomatoes, red chilli powder and green chillies. Cook for few minutes
Add rice and mix
Add 2 cups of water and salt and cook till it starts boiling
Add coriander leaves and stir. Simmer till rice is fully done
Toss lightly and serve!!!
