Chutney Waale Aloo

Today, I am here again with yet another easy to make recipe, a variation of my Aloo Sabzi. Instead of adding onions and tomatoes, this recipe uses green chutney and hence derive its name from it.


Chutney Waale Aloo


Ingredients:
Potatoes - 2 large, washed, peeled, roundly sliced and soaked in water for 10 minutes
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Oil

For making the chutney:
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Mint leaves - 8-10 leaves
Garlic - 3-4 cloves, chopped
Ginger - 1/2 inch, chopped
Green chillies - 2, chopped
Salt - to taste
Lemon juice - few drops

Method:
Make the chutney by grinding all the ingredients mentioned under chutney. Add little water if required

In a kadhai, heat oil and splutter the cumin seeds

Add the potatoes and cook on high heat till it becomes slightly soft

Add the chutney, mix and cook on slow flame till oil separates

Add just enough water so that the potatoes gets nicely cooked and bring to a boil

Simmer for 10-15 minutes

Serve hot with daal, roti or rice
