Ghee Rice

Whenever I'm in a mood to pep up my simple gravy preparations, I end up making ghee rice to go along with it. It gives a very flavourful aroma and a festive touch on the dining table, with no extra effort. Go through the recipe and you too will agree with me on this... :)
Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1 small, finely sliced
Cardamom - 1
Bay leaf - 1
Clove - 1
Salt - to taste
Water - 2 cups
Method:
In a cooking pot, heat ghee and add the whole spices. Saute for few seconds
Add onion and saute till it turns dark brown. Remove half and place it on paper towel
Add rice and give a mix once
Add water and salt and cook till rice is done
Garnish with fried onions and serve with any gravy of your choice
