Qeema Matar | How to Make Qeema Matar | Minced Meat with Peas

Qeema matar or minced meat (goat) with peas is a yummy combination and an easy to make recipe. It is a classic North India recipe of non vegetarian households and very famous in my area.

Ingredients:
Mutton mince / qeema - 1/2 kg
Peas - 2 cups
Onion - 1, medium, finely sliced
Tomato - 1, small, chopped
Cardamom -2
Cloves -2
Bay leaf - 1
Cinnamon stick - 1, one inch
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 2-3, finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste

Method:
Heat oil in a kadhai and fry the potatoes till it starts turning brown. Remove
In the same oil add cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, cumin seeds and green chilli. Saute for few seconds
Add onions and fry till they turn translucent
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds
Add qeema and saute on high heat till it starts changing colour. It will take few minutes
Add tomatoes, garam masala powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Cook till oil separates
Add the peas and mix
Add 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil
Cover and simmer till it is fully done and all water dries up
Serve hoti with roti / paratha / rice
