Palak Pakoda Recipe | How to Make Spinach Fritters

Palak Pakoda is a crunchy spinach fritters made using gram flour or besan and spices.

It is one of my favorite evening tea time snack as it is easiest to prepare and tastes good as well. It is enjoyed best with green chutney.

 Palak Pakoda

Ingredients:
Palak / Spinach - 1 bunch, washed and chopped
Besan / gram flour - 1 cup
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp, coarsely ground
Ajwain / carom seeds - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Baking soda - a pinch
Green chillies - 2-3, chopped

Salt - to taste
Oil - for deep frying

Method:
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients mentioned and start mixing by adding little water at a time to form a thick batter. Keep aside for 10-15 minutes

Heat oil in a kadhai

Make small balls out of the batter and put it in the kadhai

Fry and keep turning till it becomes golden brown in colour on all sides

Remove and keep on a paper towel

Enjoy hot with your favourite chutney or ketchup
