Cumin Chicken

- Chicken - 1/2 kg
- Cumin seeds - 4 tsp
- Green chillies - 4, slit lengthwise
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 2
- Black pepper - 3
- Onions - 3 large, finely chopped
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Yoghurt - 1/2 cup
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadhai and add 2 green chillies
- Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper and let them splutter
- Add onions and fry till dark brown
- Add the chicken pieces and stir fry till it changes to just light brown in colour
- Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for few minutes
- Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric, salt and a little water and stir till oil separates
- Now add the yoghurt and mix well
- Add 1 cup water, 2 green chillies and simmer for 30 minutes or till the chicken is done
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with roti and rice
