Mutton Chops Pulao

Whenever I'm not in mood of taking the pain of cooking biryani, I just dish out this simple Mutton Pulao. It's really an easy to make dish which does not require extra effort. Read out below to know more....
Ingredients:
Mutton chops - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1 medium, finely sliced
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Cloves - 3
Cardamoms - 3
Peppercorns - 5-7
Cinnamon stick - 1
Bay leaf - 2
Dried red chilli - 2, deseeded
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil/Ghee - 6 tbsp
Water - 2 times rice or as required
For Pulao:
Rice - 2 1/2 cups
Bay leaf - 1
Green chillies - 4
Tomatoes - 2
Salt - to taste
Ghee
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Onions - 1 fried, for garnishing
Method:
In a pressure cooker heat oil/ghee and saute the onions till it turns soft
Add the mutton pieces and saute for 5 minutes
Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell leaves
Add all the remaining ingredients mentioned under yakhni and fry for 5 minutes
Add water and cook till meat is tender
Strain the stock in another bowl and separate the meat. Discard all the spices
In a pot heat ghee and add the bay leaf
Add tomatoes and green chillies. Cook till tomatoes turn slightly soft
Add rice and mix
Add the mutton pieces and the stock
Adjust the salt and water required and cook till the rice is done stirring occasionally
When the rice is almost done, add the coriander leaves and mix
Garnish it with fried onions and serve with salad/raita
Note - I was not able to garnish the pulao as hungry tummies were eying on it ... :)
