Black Chickpea/ Kala Chana

Ingredients:
  • Black chickpea/ Kala chana - 1 cup, soaked overnight
  • Onion - 1, small, finely sliced
  • Green chillies - 2-3, lightly crushed, adjust according to taste
  • Garlic paste - few drops
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander leaves - for garnishing
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
Method:
  • In a pressure cooker, add chana, green chillies, garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt and oil
  • Pressure cook on high flame for 1 whistle, lower the heat and cook for 15 minutes
  • Once the steam is released, open the cooker, add half the onions and stir and cook on high flame to evaporate all the water present, if an
