Peas Masala

Ingredients:
  • Peas - 1 cup
  • Onions - 1, medium size, finely sliced
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies - 2-3, slit lengthwise
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes - 1, finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bunch, chopped for garnishing
  • Oil



Peas Masala


Method:
In a kadhai, heat oil and add the cumin seeds. Let it splutter

Add the onions and saute till they becomes light golden in colour
Add the ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off
Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and a little water and saute for few seconds
Add the tomatoes and green chillies and cook till tomatoes become soft
Add the peas and mix well
Add 1 cup of water and cook till it comes to a boil
Simmer for 5 minutes
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
