Kofta Curry

- Minced Meat - 1/2 kg
- Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp, roasted
- Black pepper powder - a pinch
- Green chillies - 4, finely chopped and crushed
- Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
- Salt - to taste
- Onions - 1, finely sliced
- Oil - 3/4 cup
- Ginger paste - 1/4 tsp
- Garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp, roasted
- Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Green chilli - 1, slit
- Coriander leaves - chopped, for garnishing
- Mix all the ingredients required for the koftas and make into balls and refrigerate for about 30 minutes
- Shallow fry them in a very little oil in a non-stick pan and keep aside
- For the gravy, heat oil in a deep pot. Add the onions and fry till golden brown. Remove and blend it in the mixer
- Now put the blended onions back in the oil, add ginger garlic paste
- Mix the garam masala powder, dhania powder, red chilli powder and salt with little water and add it to the gravy and fry till oil separates
- Add water. Once it simmers reduce the heat to low and gently add the fried kababs
- Cover and simmer on low heat to cook the kababs through
- Every once in a while, open the pot and gently swirl everything together
- Once the kababs are fully cooked adjust salt and add slit green chilli
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve!!!
