A few handy tips for baking,  by Rafeeda AR of The Big Sweet Tooth...
  • Have a basic set of pans – a couple of round pans, a loaf pan and a muffin pan should be more than enough to start
  • Have a set of measuring spoons and cups – one set for dry ingredients and the other for wet. For measuring liquids, always keep the ml cups handy. Full details link 1 and link 2
  • Always follow a recipe to the T. This is very important. Unlike in cooking where you can adjust as per your tastes, in baking, it is always better to follow each and every step exactly to avoid any mishaps. Perhaps, the only thing you could adjust would be the sugar levels!!!
